Sealy Mattress Review

Sealy Mattress is known for making durable, high-quality mattresses that are so comfortable they get many repeat customers. The company carries a wide range of mattresses and works with orthopedic specialists on some models so you can find exactly the right fit and feel.

TYPES

What bed sizes does Sealy Mattress offer?

Sealy Mattress Sealy offers mattresses in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, California King, and Split California King sizes. Single people may prefer any size bed, starting Twin, Twin XL, or Full sized beds, whereas couples may prefer Queen, California King, or Split California King sizes.

What type of mattresses does Sealy Mattress offer?

One of the main ways Sealy Mattress has made a name for itself is by offering well-constructed, durable mattresses that come in a variety of styles. It offers multiple styles of mattresses that appeal to a broad base of consumers who are all looking for solutions for their sleep issues.

The types of mattresses offered by Sealy Mattress include:

  • Cocoon by Sealy: This mattress is designed for hot sleepers because of its ability to dissipate heat. Since it is medium in firmness, it's good for all types of sleepers, including back, side, and stomach.
  • Sealy Posturepedic: This mattress is designed with the help of orthopedic specialists. It comes in either a firm or soft feel.
  • Sealy Posturepedic Plus: This mattress comes in different feels of firm, medium, or soft, making it ideal for any type of sleeper.
  • Sealy FlexGrid: With its excellent pressure-relieving gel grid, this mattress is exceptional for anyone who experiences pressure point pain while sleeping.
  • Sealy Naturals: Sealy Naturals is an outstanding choice for those who value both comfort and environmental responsibility. Since it comes in firm, medium, and soft feels, anyone will benefit from using this mattress. This model is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and has minimum off-gassing.

Which Sealy Mattress mattress type is best?

Sealy Mattress makes a wide range of mattresses in a variety of firmness levels and different constructions because it knows that each customer has individual needs which can't be addressed by only one type of mattress. By offering a huge selection, Sealy can ensure each customer will find the best fit to give them a great night of sleep every night. Their versatility is one of the reasons they've built up a loyal customer base.

Which sleeping position is best for Sealy Mattress mattresses?

Since Sealy Mattress offers soft, medium, and firm mattresses and both memory foam and hybrid construction, all types of sleepers can find a mattress that works well for them. Whether you're a back, stomach, or side sleeper or underweight or overweight, you'll be able to feel well-rested each morning if you choose the best type of mattress suited for your body type and sleeping style.

Which body type is best for Sealy Mattress mattresses?

With its choice of memory foam construction or hybrid construction, Sealy Mattress has a mattress that will work for every type of body. If you're overweight or weigh more because of being exceptionally tall and you need the extra support, you can opt for a hybrid. If you prefer a cozy, sinking-in feeling, memory foam is available.

If you carry extra pounds and tend to sink in too far on a soft mattress, medium or firm feels are available. Those who are underweight may benefit more from a softer mattress instead of one that is too firm to let them sink in at all.

COMFORT

Is a Sealy Mattress mattress firm or soft?

Finding the right firmness level in your mattress is important because it can mean the difference between blissful sleep and needlessly being in pain from choosing the wrong mattress for your body type or sleep position.

Sealy Mattress knows that no one mattress will be able to please everyone. What feels just right to one sleeper can cause somebody else to toss and turn all night and wake up in pain the following morning. For that reason, Sealy offers mattresses in a variety of firmness levels, including soft, medium, and firm. With some careful thought about your sleeping habits, you'll be able to select the firmness level that will benefit you the most.

  • Soft: Soft mattresses work exceptionally well for side sleepers because they can help alleviate any hip or shoulder pressure point pain a side sleeper may develop. Another group of people who would benefit from soft mattresses include people who are underweight or on the lighter side of average weight. It will allow those sleepers to experience that cozy, sinking-in feeling they wouldn't get with a denser, firmer mattress.
  • Medium: Medium mattresses are crowd pleasers because they can feel comfortable for almost anyone. They can work well for side, stomach, and back sleepers, and they are a good compromise for couples who are looking for a mattress that they can both agree upon. Medium mattresses are especially ideal for people of average body weight who sleep on their backs.
  • Firm: A firm mattress may feel uncomfortable to some people, but those who are overweight or sleep on their stomachs can truly benefit from this type. It can also be a great choice for people who have back pain from a sagging mattress or who are sinking into their softer mattress too far. The extra support you get with a firm mattress can help people keep the spine in the best alignment for pain relief.

Does Sealy Mattress provide back support?

If you suffer from back pain, you can help correct the problem by finding the right mattress. Sealy Mattress carries a wide range of constructions and firmness levels that may help you fight your back pain by giving you the support you need.

Does Sealy Mattress relieve pain?

Finding the right mattress can be a game changer when you're dealing with back, neck, shoulder, or hip pain. Sealy Mattress carries a large variety of mattresses so you can find the right firmness level and construction to help banish your pain while sleeping.

If you need extra relief from pressure point pain, you can opt for a memory foam mattress that allows you some cushioning. The Sealy FlexGrid, Sealy Posturepedic Plus, and Cocoon by Sealy all have the option for memory foam. If you're a side sleeper who gets pain in the hips and shoulders, the memory foam cushioning can eliminate that pain, allowing you to sleep longer.

Sometimes not having enough support can cause pain. If that's the case for you, you can go with a hybrid mattress, like the Cocoon by Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic, Sealy Posturepedic Plus, Sealy Flexgrid, or Sealy Naturals, that uses a combination of memory foam and coil springs that offer additional support.

Does the Sealy Mattress mattress keep cool at night?

If you're a hot sleeper who tends to feel overheated or sweaty while you sleep, choosing the right mattress can give you relief. The Cocoon by Sealy is infused with heat-dissipating material to give you a cooler night of sleep.

The Sealy Posturepedic Plus mattress is also an excellent choice for cooling. It features a SealyChill cooling cover that gives you a refreshing feel when you lie down.

MATERIALS

Sealy Mattress Construction

No matter which Sealy Mattress you choose, you'll get high-quality materials and construction. After you've placed your order, your mattress will be built to order in one of Sealy's U.S.-based facilities.

What are Sealy Mattress mattresses made from?

Some of the materials that might be used in your Sealy mattresses are encased coils and memory foam if you buy a hybrid mattress. If you buy a memory foam mattress, you won't have the coils, but you'll get a thick layer of memory foam. How thick that layer of memory foam will be depends on which version of the mattress you buy.

The Sealy Posturepedic Plus, for instance, comes in three different models -- the Trusted Support, Advanced Support, and Ultimate Support and Cooling. The Trusted Support version comes with a cooling cover, ComfortSense foam, and Response Pro coils, and it stands 13 inches tall. By comparison, the Advanced Support model stands half an inch taller, and it contains a thicker layer of memory foam. The Ultimate Support model features cooling foams made with SealyChill, has added edge support, and stands 14 inches tall.

Does the Sealy Mattress mattresses come in a box?

Sealy Mattresses are not compressed mattresses that arrive in a box. Instead, Sealy's delivery partner will bring your bed to your home and set it up in the room of your choice.

Does Sealy Mattress need a special foundation?

Foundations play an important part in the performance and longevity of mattresses. Some people don't want to spend extra money on changing their foundation when they buy a mattress, but upgrading the foundation can be a smart thing to do.

When you buy a Sealy Mattress, they encourage you to also buy a foundation for the best results. While you don't have to buy a Sealy foundation, you must use a foundation that is completely flat and solid. The foundation must also have a strong center support to ensure it won't begin to sag in the center over time. Conventional box springs should never be used with Sealy mattresses because they won't offer enough support.

One of the reasons it may be a good idea to upgrade your foundation at the same time you buy a Sealy mattress is because it will protect you if you run into warranty issues. If you use the incorrect foundation, you might void your warranty. If you have a Sealy foundation, the company knows that any mattress issue you have in the future wouldn't be caused by your foundation.

Sealy Mattress offers the adjustable Ease base, which works with Sealy Posturepedic and Sealy Posturepedic Plus. They also offer a flat foundation that goes with all their mattresses.

Caring for your Sealy Mattress mattress

While you can rotate your mattress every six months to make it feel fresher, you shouldn't flip over your Sealy mattress because it has a side that must be on the top at all times. If you spill something on your mattress, you can take a damp cloth and a bit of liquid soap and dab at the stain until it is out. Before putting your sheet back on top of your mattress, you should make sure it is fully dry first.

Sealy Mattress Return Policy
