The materials used to make Tempur-Pedic mattresses are similar to those used to produce various polyurethane foams and do not contain any latex. They are also treated with an antimicrobial which results in a reduced amount of allergens and dust mites.

Does the Tempur-Pedic Mattress mattresses come in a box?

How a Tempur-Pedic mattress is delivered depends on the type you choose. If you order the Tempur-Cloud mattress, it will be delivered via UPS and arrive compressed in a bag so that you can easily set it up yourself.

Other select Tempur-Pedic mattresses arrive in a plastic covering and offer free White Glove delivery service for the setup of your new mattress.

Does Tempur-Pedic Mattress need a special foundation?

Tempur-Pedic mattresses require a solid base and are designed to be paired with a Tempur-Pedic foundation. Tempur-Pedic foundations feature high-density fiberboard and steel rails for flat and sturdy support.

However, if you wish to use a platform bed or slatted foundation with your Tempur-Pedic mattress, you must ensure that the slats are at least 3” wide and no more than 4” apart. You should also keep in mind that a futon base or box spring does not provide adequate support for Tempur-Pedic mattresses (as they are quite heavy) and using an unstable surface for your mattress will void your warranty.

Caring for your Tempur-Pedic Mattress mattress 

The Tempur-ProAdapt, Tempur-LuxeAdapt, and Tempur-breeze mattresses have removable and washable covers for easy care. You can wash these covers in the washing machine using cold water and mild detergent and then tumble dry them on a low setting. The Temper-Adapt and Tempur-Cloud mattresses do not feature a washable cover and must be spot cleaned in case of spills or stains and then air-dried.

It is best to ensure that your Tempur-Pedic mattress does not get soaked or wet. It is also recommended that you do not flip your Tempur-Pedic mattress, however, you can rotate it if you like.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Delivery

Tempur-Pedic offers free shipping for all its mattresses. Tempur-Pedic mattresses are typically delivered within 7 to 10 business days of placing an order and you will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships. You will also receive a call from the delivery team to schedule a preferred delivery date once your order reaches your closest delivery hub.

Tempur-Pedic offers complimentary White Glove delivery for select mattresses - this includes free delivery, removal of your old mattress, and the setup of your new one.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Return Policy

Tempur-Pedic offers a 90-night trial for all its mattresses, provided they have been purchased directly from the merchant. If you are dissatisfied with your Tempur-Pedic mattress, you can exchange or return it within this period. However, it is recommended that you try out your Tempur-Pedic mattress for at least 30 days before making a decision.

You must note that all returns have a non-refundable $175 shipping fee attached to them. Once Tempur-Pedic receives the mattress, it will refund the amount you paid minus the return shipping fee.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Financing Options

Tempur-Pedic offers the option to finance your mattress purchase with the Tempur-Pedic credit card which is issued by Wells Fargo bank. You can choose between the 12-month finance option for qualifying purchases of $1,000 or more and the 24-month finance option that applies to qualifying purchases of $2,000 or more. You also have the option of another special financing offer which features 0%APR for 36 months on purchases of a mattress and qualifying power base.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress Warranties

Tempur-Pedic mattresses are covered by a 10-year limited warranty which is subject to certain limitations. This limited warranty covers any manufacturing defect or physical flaw that causes the mattress to crack or split. It also covers any visible indentation in the mattress that is more than 0.75 of an inch.

The warranty does not cover any normal changes in firmness or softness of the mattress over time or any mold forming after use. It also does not cover any damage to the structure or the cover material due to stains, burns, or tears. Additionally, Tempur-Pedic will not be liable for any damage associated with improper handling of the mattress or using an improper base, foundation, or bed frame.

If your mattress has a defect covered under the limited warranty, Tempur-Pedic will either repair or replace it. You may need to provide proof of the quality of your mattress in order for it to be eligible for a warranty claim.
