Siena Review

Siena offers a medium-firm memory foam mattress that allows a long at-home sleep trial to make sure you are happy with your new product. It's an affordable choice for couples who don't want to feel each other move around all night or who can't agree on a firmness level.

TYPES

What bed sizes does Siena offer?

Sienna offers mattresses in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes.

What type of mattresses does Siena offer?

Finding the right kind of mattress for a great night of sleep can be difficult, especially if you share your bed with a partner. One person may like a firm mattress while the other one might prefer a softer touch.

Siena can satisfy both sleepers by giving them what they need for a comfortable compromise. It only offers one model of mattress, a medium-firm memory foam mattress that is a popular choice since it provides a middle-of-the-road firmness level that appeals to a broad audience.

Whether you sleep alone or with someone, you'll enjoy that this one doesn't feel too hard or too soft. Since it offers some firmness and support, you won't sink in too far, but it's not so firm that you'll feel like you're sleeping on a board.

The medium-firm firmness level is an excellent fit for many people because it will work with all types of sleepers, whether they prefer sleeping on their backs, sides, or stomachs. That means it's also excellent for sleepers who like to sleep in a variety of positions.

Which Siena mattress type is best?

Siena offers a mattress that has universal appeal, with its breathable cooling cover and popular medium-firm feel. Since it only offers one type of mattress, Siena takes a lot of the guesswork out of finding one that will work for you. It will work with a variety of body types while not stressing buyers out about which mattress they'll like best.

Which sleeping position is best for Siena mattresses?

Back, side, and stomach sleepers can all find comfort with the Siena mattress because it uses a firmness level that is suitable for each position. It has enough support that stomach sleepers won't sink in too far, and it's soft enough to help side sleepers avoid pressure point pain.

Which body type is best for Siena mattresses?

Siena mattresses aren't ideal for those who are significantly overweight because these sleepers may find they sink too far into the mattress for optimal comfort. They may still like the mattress if they are side or back sleepers, but it likely won't be as comfortable for stomach sleepers.

COMFORT

Is a Siena mattress firm or soft?

Siena offers a single, affordable mattress style that will offer a great night of sleep for as many people as possible. Since most people prefer a mattress that is medium firm, Siena has created their mattress to have a level of 6.5 on the firmness scale. That's ideal for most sleepers, no matter what position they tend to sleep in.

That level can help couples find a single mattress that will suit both of their needs. Despite offering an affordable price, Siena uses high-quality materials to construct its mattresses. It gets its firmness and support from dense polyfoam and premium memory foam, and hot sleepers will find comfort from the breathable cooling cover.

Does Siena provide back support?

With its medium firm feel, the Siena mattress is an excellent pick for those who suffer from back pain or who need to ensure they have the proper back support. Whether you're sleeping on your back, side, or stomach, it will help your back stay in the proper alignment.

Does Siena relieve pain?

No one wants to invest in a mattress and wake up not feeling any better than they did with their old mattress. Siena's mattress can help reduce pain in a number of ways. The medium-firm feel of the mattress will be just right for most sleepers, providing the proper spinal support and alignment. It will also be ideal for side sleepers since it will help alleviate any pressure point pain they feel in the hips and shoulders.

The mattress is constructed with a two-inch layer of transition foam that supports your body, and the upper layer of gel memory foam will offer a comfortable feel. This is the layer that will provide that cozy, sink-in feeling that sleepers love.

Although this mattress is a great choice for the majority of sleepers, there are those who might not benefit as much from its pain-relieving features. Those who are significantly overweight may find they sink in a little too far, especially if they sleep on their stomachs. Those who are underweight may not sink in quite enough to reap all the benefits from this mattress.

If you have breathing issues, such as asthma, you know all too well how certain scents or chemicals can affect your lungs. Those who have sensitivities to strong odors can have headaches triggered just by sleeping on products that produce off-gassing in their homes. The Siena mattress is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning that it is made without formaldehyde, phthalates, mercury, lead, ozone depleters, and other potentially harmful substances that you might not want to be breathing in.

Does the Siena mattress keep cool at night?

Those who tend to sweat while they sleep will want some cooling features in their new mattress so they can stay comfortable and sweat-free as they sleep. The Siena mattress uses a layer of gel memory foam to help sleepers stay cooler by wicking away body heat, and they also include a breathable cooling cover.

MATERIALS

Siena Construction

Siena mattresses are made of five layers, including a soft, breathable cover, a 2.5-inch layer of gel memory foam, a 2-inch layer of transition foam, a 5.5-inch layer of polyfoam base, and a shift-resistant lower cover.

What are Siena mattresses made from?

While Siena mattresses are affordable so everyone can enjoy a restful night of sleep, they still use the top-notch materials you'd see in more expensive mattresses. They use dense polyfoam for excellent support and premium memory foam for cradling your body from painful pressure points and for promoting the proper spinal alignment.

The top layer of memory foam has been infused with gel, so it will help dissipate heat as you sleep. The cooling top cover is made of poly-blend, and it offers excellent breathability.

Does the Siena mattresses come in a box?

Siena mattresses will arrive compressed in a box, so they can be easily moved to your bedroom and set up quickly.

Does Siena need a special foundation?

If you don't have a suitable foundation or you want to upgrade your existing foundation, Siena carries some for you to choose from, although you aren't required to use one of their models with your new mattress. They offer the Siena Mattress Foundation, a sturdy wooden base that gives your mattress all the support it needs. For a modern look, you can select the Siena Bed Frame With Headboard. This option includes a metal and wood bed frame and an upholstered headboard.

If you'd rather have an adjustable bed frame, you can opt for the Siena Adjustable Bed Frame that adjusts with the simple click of a button and comes with a built-in massage mode. You could also choose the Siena Foldable Metal Bed Frame that offers enough mattress support without having to have a box spring.

If you don't want to buy a new bed frame, you can put your Siena mattress on your existing bed frame. It's compatible with box springs, divan bases, traditional frames, adjustable bases, and platforms. Siena advises against placing the mattress on a homemade frame or directly on the floor.

It's important to follow Siena's guidelines for mattress placement because if you don't adhere to their instructions, you may unintentionally void the warranty.

Caring for your Siena mattress

You can rotate your mattress every six months to keep it feeling fresh and more balanced. Unlike some mattresses, however, you shouldn't flip over your Siena mattress because it should have a specific side up at all times.

If you spill anything on your mattress, you can use a damp sponge and a small amount of soap to dab at the stain. Allow the mattress to dry fully before putting the cover or sheets on it.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Siena Delivery

Your Siena mattress will be delivered right to your door in a box by either FedEx or UPS Ground service, generally within two to five business days after you've ordered it. The company does not pick up your old mattress and take it away for you.

To set it up, you'll simply open the box, remove the packaging, and allow the mattress to expand before sleeping on it. Unlike some other brands, you'll notice very little or no off-gassing. If there is a mild odor, you can open a window, and the smell will soon dissipate.

Siena offers free deliveries and returns if you live in the contiguous United States. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, though, you'll have to pay a delivery charge at checkout, but you can still return the mattress for free.

Siena Return Policy

Since buying a mattress you've never tried before can make some people uneasy, Siena offers a generous 180-sleep trial. You'll get to test it night after night to see if it works for you.

If it isn't a good fit for you, you'll be able to return it without any hassle, although Siena does ask that you try out your new mattress for at least 30 nights so you can get used to the feel of it. To make a return, you'll simply contact the company and set up a time when one of their partner organizations can come pick up your mattress. After the mattress has been picked up, you'll get your refund and your mattress will be sent to a charity.

Siena Financing Options

Although Siena mattresses have been priced to be affordable so all people can experience quality sleep, they understand that a mattress is a big purchase and some people may still need financing options. You can get financing for your mattress through Affirm and Afterpay.

Each option will allow you to make smaller, more affordable payments over a period of time rather than having to pay for the mattress in one lump sum.

Siena Warranties

Siena stands by their mattress by offering a 10-year warranty. The warranty covers any defects or faults in the mattress, such as a mattress that doesn't fully expand. You should be aware that your warranty may be voided if you don't provide your new mattress with the support it needs, such as if you place it on the floor or a homemade base.

If you notice an issue with the quality of your mattress that isn't related to normal wear and tear, contact the company right away. If your warranty is still in effect, they'll either repair your existing mattress or send you a replacement.
