TYPES

What bed sizes does Loom & Leaf offer?

Loom & Leaf Lom & Leaf offers mattresses in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, Split King, California King, and Split California King sizes.

What type of mattresses does Loom & Leaf offer?

Loom & Leaf has wonderful mattress options for all types of sleepers. By providing two different firmness levels in their mattresses, you'll find the best possible mattress for your sleeping style and preferences. You'll be able to customize the size and firmness level, which Loom & Leaf refers to as a comfort level, so you get exactly what you need.

  • Loom & Leaf relaxed firm mattress: Excellent for side, back, and stomach sleepers, this mattress ranks from 5 to 7 on the mattress firmness scale of 1 to 10. It gives you support while also offering plenty of plush comfort, making it the most popular comfort level they offer. If you share a bed with a partner who has a different sleep style or who prefers a different firmness level than you do, this mattress might be a good solution so you can both get great rest.
  • Loom & Leaf firm mattress: If you're a stomach sleeper or someone who loves firmer mattresses, you may prefer this one. It ranks an 8 on the firmness scale, and it is designed for people who hate the feeling of sinking into a bed.

Which Loom & Leaf mattress type is best?

Not everybody feels the same way about a mattress. What feels ideal to one person leads to a terrible night of sleep for someone else. But there appears to be a lot of support for Loom & Leaf's relaxed firm mattress. It's their bestseller, and it works for every type of sleeper. That means it's a good bet that most sleepers will love this option. If you know you prefer firmer mattresses, though, you may be better suited to Loom & Leaf's firmer comfort level mattress.

Which sleeping position is best for Loom & Leaf mattresses?

Whether you're a side, back, or stomach sleeper, you should have success when trying Loom & Leaf's relaxed firm mattress. It'll help you achieve the correct spinal alignment while still feeling soft and comfortable. Their firm mattress is a good choice for those who tend to strictly sleep on their stomachs and need a firmer touch.

Which body type is best for Loom & Leaf mattresses?

Those who are above average in weight may be better off using Loom & Leaf's firm mattress, rather than their relaxed firm comfort level. The firm will offer more support so those who are heavier won't have that feeling of sinking too far into their mattress.

COMFORT

Is a Loom & Leaf mattress firm or soft?

We spend approximately one-third of our lives sleeping, and when we toss and turn, we wake up each morning feeling tired and grumpy instead of well-rested and ready to start our days. Loom & Leaf doesn't want anyone to have an uncomfortable night of sleep on their mattresses. That's why they have two different firmness options that offer everyone a chance at high-quality sleep -- no matter what position they like to sleep in.

They also provide helpful guidance about which type of sleeper might benefit from each of their mattresses, so you can think about your own sleep habits and choose accordingly. They try to take the guesswork out of mattress shopping so customers can get exactly what they need and want. Loom & Leaf's two comfort levels of mattresses include:

  • Relaxed firm: This is Loom & Leaf's most popular comfort level. It represents a happy medium since people who like soft, plush mattresses seem to enjoy this one, and sleepers who prefer a firmer feel can still sleep well on it too. That makes it excellent for couples who have different sleep styles and who can't seem to find a middle-of-the-road mattress to use. It uses memory foam and high-density foam layers to relieve pressure points while supporting you and contouring your body.
  • Firm: Although it's not Loom & Leaf's best-seller, their firm mattress is a good solution for those who benefit from more support from their mattresses. This one can be highly beneficial to those who are overweight because it offers a lot of support with gentle body contouring. It's also an excellent choice for those who tend to suffer from back pain when mattresses are too soft or not firm enough. Stomach sleepers can use either this mattress or the relaxed firm version, depending upon their personal preferences, because both will give them the support they need.

Does Loom & Leaf provide back support?

Loom & Leaf mattresses are good options for those who are struggling with back pain. Sometimes people experience lower back pain while sleeping because they are using a mattress that is too hard or too soft. These mattresses are a happy medium when it comes to firmness, so they may help alleviate back pain.

Does Loom & Leaf relieve pain?

If you struggle with back, shoulder, hip, or neck pain as you sleep or the next morning when you wake up, you know how debilitating it can be. It can zap your energy, motivation, and mood before you've even had a chance to start your day. Many Loom & Leaf mattress users have noted how much better their pain levels are since they started using their new mattress.

Since back pain is a common complaint, Loom & Leaf mattresses were designed with multiple features in place to help with back support. Their mattresses give people the proper spine alignment no matter what position they sleep in, and they can also help with pain and circulation by giving relief to pressure points through the foam layer that molds itself to your body's contours. They've targeted the middle of the mattress with extra lower back support because that's where it's most beneficial.

The core of each mattress is made from 2.5 inches of CertiPUR-US certified ultra-premium five-pound memory foam which offers a nice blend of comfort and support, giving you a body-hugging sensation each night. To help stabilize the core and upper layers, each Loom & Leaf mattress has a base support comprised of a 5.5-inch CertiPUR-US certified foam layer. This will ensure added stability and durability so you can continue to enjoy and be supported by your mattress year after year.

Sleeping pain-free isn't just about the aches and pains you might feel each morning, though. It's also about what's taking place in your lungs. Some people have difficulty breathing because of the off-gassing that can occur with mattresses or when they're exposed to certain chemicals. Since Loom & Leaf mattresses use CertiPUR-US certified materials, you can breathe a sigh of relief if you struggle with lung issues. Memory foams made with CertiPUR-US certified materials have low emissions, won't off-gas in your home, and are eco-friendly.

Those who worry about the health of the planet while they're trying to stay as pain-free as possible when using their mattress will like that the Loom & Leaf mattresses are made from eco-friendly materials. The cover is made from organic cotton, and instead of using chemical spray to safeguard you from fires, they use a flame retardant barrier that is developed from natural thistle pulp. Everything that goes into this mattress has been consciously-sourced and is made in the United States, so you'll be able to sleep with a clear conscience while you rest your body.

Does the Loom & Leaf mattress keep cool at night?

It's hard to get a good night's sleep when you feel hot. All Loom & Leaf mattresses include gel-infused foam that will help you stay cool all night long. The upper two-inch layer of gel memory foam has micro-perforations throughout so you'll get extra breathability. The organic cotton cover is naturally breathable for a cooler sleeping experience.

MATERIALS

Loom & Leaf Construction

Loom & Leaf mattresses are made with six layers. Each one will have a cover made of organic cotton, a back support layer, a cooling foam layer, a memory foam core, a transitional foam layer, and a bottom layer of base support.

What are Loom & Leaf mattresses made from?

Memory foam is the main substance used in the construction of Loom & Leaf mattresses. Organic cotton is also used, as is an exclusive treatment called Guardin, which is a botanical antimicrobial substance that is used to prevent mold, mildew, or bacteria from growing. All the foams used in the construction of their mattresses are eco-friendly and made with renewable oils. With their careful construction and thoughtfully-sourced materials, fewer greenhouse gases are produced during manufacturing than with some other mattress companies.

Does the Loom & Leaf mattresses come in a box?

Loom & Leaf mattresses don't come in a box. When you order one of these mattresses, you don't have to do any work. Their free white glove delivery will bring the mattress to your home, set it up, and remove your old mattress for free if you'd like.

Does Loom & Leaf need a special foundation?

If you have a platform bed foundation that has a solid surface, has center support if it's a queen-sized bed or larger, and has slats that are less than four inches apart, you don't need to purchase a new foundation. But those without a platform bed frame should consider buying a Loom & Leaf foundation to go with their mattress.

Those who have a box spring foundation that's in great shape should be fine with using that still. If it's not super sturdy or has sagging anywhere, it should be replaced though. Loom & Leaf states that their mattress warranty will remain in effect even if you decide to use your current box spring or foundation.

If you want to upgrade your current foundation, Loom & Leaf gives you options. They offer a Saatva foundation you can purchase, and it gives you the option of adding on a steel metal frame for an additional cost. The frame will give additional support to your mattress and bed foundation. If you opt to buy a foundation, the company will come set it up along with your mattress when it's delivered. Once you buy it, you won't have to lift a finger to set it up, which is one of the perks of doing business with this company.

Caring for your Loom & Leaf mattress

While this mattress shouldn't be flipped over as you might with some others, you can rotate it 180 degrees every six months if you'd like to so it doesn't wear down as much in one area. It will help it feel fresher over the long term. If you spill something on your mattress, you can use a tiny amount of soap and a damp washcloth to clean it. Make sure you allow the area to fully dry before covering it back up.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Loom & Leaf Delivery

Loom & Leaf offers white glove service -- you won't have to do anything but stand there and watch. They'll deliver the mattress, bring it into your bedroom, and set it up for you. You'll have to arrange to be home so you can let them in. The delivery people will give you a four-hour time window that they'll arrive on whatever delivery date you choose.

If you let them know when you're ordering that you want them to take away your old mattress, they'll do that for free. Delivery and set up are done at no extra charge to you.

Loom & Leaf Return Policy

When you spend so much time in your bed, you need it to be comfortable. If you begin losing sleep, your attitude, health, and mental outlook can be negatively affected. Mattresses are huge splurges, so it's important that you're happy with your choice. Buying a mattress online that you've never even sat on can be intimidating -- and that's something Loom & Leaf understands. To give you a chance to fully test out your new mattress, they offer a 365-night home trial. You'll get a full year of sleeping on it before you have to fully commit to it.

It's easy to try a mattress out the first night and immediately form an opinion about it. But because it can take your body some time to adjust to the feel of your new mattress, you should give it more time before you make any snap decisions. Loom & Leaf recommends trying out your mattress for at least a few weeks to see if you get used to it. That's especially important if your new mattress has a different firmness level than your last one.

If you've tried your mattress for several weeks and feel like it's just not going to work for you, you can return it. Something to be aware of, though, is that you'll have to pay a $99 processing fee for it to be picked up. So, if you decide to return it, you will lose that fee.

If you decide to return it, you can contact a sleep guide to start the process. They're available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, even on holidays. So, if you're not completely happy with your mattress, you can reach out and see if they have any recommendations for you before you make the decision to return it. If it's too firm for your liking, for instance, they might suggest that you try a mattress topper to see if that helps.

Loom & Leaf Financing Options

Loom & Leaf gives you the option of financing your new mattress through Affirm. You'll be able to decide whether you want to spread your purchase out over 6, 12, or 18 monthly payments. You'll have to be approved before you learn what your annual percentage rate will be. It could be a favorable rate or quite high, so you'll need to decide if financing it is worth it.

Loom & Leaf Warranties

Loom & Leaf offers a Friends for Life warranty that will guarantee your mattress will be free from defects as long as you have it. It stipulates that the warranty only covers normal residential care and use. If you use the warranty starting in year three or beyond, you will owe a $149 processing fee, but the company will completely re-cover and repair your mattress if it is decided that it is defective. If you use the warranty in the first two years of owning your mattress, there will be no charge to you. They also offer a Fairness Replacement Option you can opt to use if your mattress is deemed defective anywhere from three to 15 years of mattress ownership.

Loom & Leaf Mattress Against the Competition

Loom & Leaf has worked hard to bring an affordable, yet luxury, memory foam mattress to the table. Their prices are on the less expensive end of the luxury sphere, but they are still pricey when compared to beds in a box. Since there are so many mattresses on the market, we’ve put together some side-by-side comparisons of Loom & Leaf’s closest competitors.

Loom & Leaf vs. Nectar

Loom & Leaf and Nectar have two very different price tags thanks in part to their “categories” of bed. Loom & Leaf is considered a luxury bed thanks to its multiple layers of high-end foam, whereas Nectar serves as a quality, convenient, and affordable mattress whose comfort works with most sleepers. Loom & Leaf provides a little more versatility when it comes to choosing firmness options — Nectar has one comfort level that is in the middle of the firmness scale.

Loom & Leaf vs. Puffy

Both mattresses provide a “cooling layer,” each with its own branded name. This focus on heat dissipation puts them at the top in this category among foam beds. Loom & Leaf’s Spinal Zone Gel is a layer of cooling gel whereas Puffy cools their beds down with a “Cooling Cloud Foam.” Loom & Leaf offers free delivery, free white-glove service, and has no box to unpack, unlike Puffy. Puffy sits at a higher price range and without all the perks that Loom & Leaf’s quality service has to offer.

Loom & Leaf vs. DreamCloud

These two mattresses have similar premium construction with multiple foam layers that are comprised of dense materials that prevent breakdown over time. Shoppers have noted that Loom & Leaf has proven to feel softer than DreamCloud, which makes sense that side sleepers fall for Loom & Leaf over DreamCloud. DreamCloud also comes with free delivery, but their mattress is rolled up and compressed in a bag, whereas Loom & Leaf is delivered with full-service white glove delivery.
