Kiwi Sleep Review

The uniquely-designed Kiwi Sleep mattresses are a good fit for those who suffer from pain while they're sleeping or for those who tend to sweat a lot while sleeping.

TYPES

Kiwi Sleep

What bed sizes does Kiwi Sleep offer?

Kiwi Sleep offers mattresses in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes. Single people may prefer any size bed, starting Twin, Twin XL, or Full sized beds, whereas couples may prefer Queen, King, or California King sizes.

What type of mattresses does Kiwi Sleep offer?

One of the things that makes Kiwi Sleep stand out from all the other mattress companies is that it has an unforgettable design. They say that owning one of their mattresses is like having 700 tiny mattresses in one big package, and once you see the revolutionary design, you'll understand why. Each mattress is comprised of hundreds of tiny squares, which they call a cushion pocket design, that move independently and work to cradle your body.

The Kiwi Sleep mattress helps correctly align your spine while you sleep, so it can help eliminate back, hip, shoulder, and neck pain, as well as pressure point pain. They only sell one type of mattress, but it's good for a wide variety of sleepers.

  • Kiwi Sleep mattress: With its medium plush firmness, this mattress is excellent for back and side sleepers. If you're a dedicated side sleeper who often wakes up with sore hips, this mattress should be a good fit for you. It's also a great choice people who tend to feel overheated while they sleep because each tiny supportive square is separated by a thick channel that allows air to flow through.

Which Kiwi Sleep mattress type is best?

Kiwi Sleep has just one mattress, but it's a clever design that's different from many other mattresses on the market. They've received several patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for their mattress invention. The company offers several sizes of mattresses to choose from so you can find one that works for you, whether you're a solo sleeper or you share your bed with a partner.

Which sleeping position is best for Kiwi Sleep mattresses?

Back and side sleepers will get the most benefit out of Kiwi Sleep's mattress because it will help support the body while staying soft and plush enough to relieve muscular and skeletal pain. It does such an effective job at supporting the spine that it has been chiropractor endorsed. Stomach sleepers might find this mattress to be too giving and plush, but it might work for stomach sleepers with a lighter bodyweight.

Which body type is best for Kiwi Sleep mattresses?

The medium plush firmness of Kiwi Sleep's mattress makes it a good fit for those who weigh up to 350 pounds. If you weigh more than that, you might want to choose a mattress with more support. While you might be fine, you may sink in more than you'd like.

COMFORT

Is a Kiwi Sleep mattress firm or soft?

Kiwi Sleep gets that every sleeper needs different firmness levels and that if you're sleeping with a partner, your needs are sometimes at odds with one another. They've designed their mattress with a medium plush firmness level, so it can suit most types of sleepers, and it can help couples find some middle ground so they can both have a good night's sleep. If you're used to a firm mattress and your partner likes a plusher feel, this one is a good compromise that allow you both to wake up pain-free in the morning.

A Kiwi Sleep mattress responds to every sleeper's personal size and weight, so every sleeper will have a different experience. If you were to sit on the mattress, you might think it feels exceptionally plush, but that's because your full weight is resting only upon a few of the tiny separate mattresses that make up the larger mattress. If you were to lie down, you'd get more support and a firmer feel since your weight would be spread across more of the individual mattresses.

Their mattress is a good choice for anyone who wants to keep their spine healthy or those who wake up in pain every morning. It especially works well for side and back sleepers, but if you're a stomach sleeper who weighs significantly more than average, this mattress may have too much give to it to be super comfortable for you.

As with any mattress you buy, you'll want to give the Kiwi Sleep mattress a few weeks of trying it out before you decide if it's working for you. Since it uses such a revolutionary design, it may be quite different than any other mattress you've ever tried. Your body will need some time to adjust to the different feel and potentially different firmness level than your old mattress.

Does Kiwi Sleep provide back support?

With separate, individual support for every bone in the spinal column, Kiwi Sleep's patented design supports proper back alignment for less pain in the morning and while sleeping. While it's firm enough to support bony and muscular structures, it feels soft enough to cradle your curves, earning it a chiropractor endorsement from Dr. Mark Cadden, who has been a chiropractor for 38 years.

Does Kiwi Sleep relieve pain?

Experiencing pain while you sleep or in the mornings when you're climbing out of bed is the worst. It can sour your mood for the whole day, make you feel groggy instead of well-rested, and even affect your physical health if you are sleep deprived long-term. That's why it's so crucial to find a mattress that can work with you rather than against you. Finding a mattress that supports you and feels comfortable will help eliminate pain instead of causing it.

With the Kiwi Sleep mattress, many users have noted how much their pain levels have improved. Whether it's back pain from an improperly aligned spine, hip pain from the pressure of sleeping all night on your side, or shoulder and neck pain, a Kiwi Sleep mattress can help. In addition to having numerous glowing customer reviews about pain relief on their website, Kiwi Sleep also has the endorsement of a long-time chiropractor who had previously never endorsed a mattress before. That can help give you confidence that you'll love this mattress and reap benefits from it if you decide to order it.

This mattress works so well for pain relief because of its unique design. The smallest size of these mattresses has 420 tiny square mattresses that work individually and as a group to support you. If you order a larger-sized mattress, it will have even more squares. They support your proper alignment while also cradling your body for a cozy, plush feel.

Sleepers with a body weight of more than 350 pounds might not feel as supported by their mattress, and they may not get the full effects of the pain relief this mattress can deliver.

Sometimes the discomfort you feel from your mattress has nothing to do with aches and pains, though. If you suffer from allergies, asthma, or another breathing condition, your old mattress or even a new one may contribute to those issues. The Kiwi Sleep mattress is an excellent choice for someone who suffers from allergies or any breathing issue because it features a zip-off removable and washable cover that will keep allergens off of your mattress. When you use this cover, your mattress won't be piling up pet dander, dust, or bacteria that may be triggering your symptoms.

In addition, you won't have to worry about potentially harmful off-gassing because this mattress is CertiPUR-US certified and Greenguard Gold Certified, so you can rest assured that the interior products used in this mattress are low in chemical emissions.

Does the Kiwi Sleep mattress keep cool at night?

Part of Kiwi Sleep's unique, patented design is the tiny separate little mattresses that work together to form one big mattress. Each tiny mattress has air channels separating them so you'll get superior airflow. That will help you stay cooler while you sleep, so you won't wake up feeling wet from sweat.

MATERIALS

Kiwi Sleep Construction

Kiwi Sleep mattresses, using several design patents, are constructed by using pocketed coils and foam hybrid. Unlike a mattress that has multiple layers, each of its mini mattresses across the surface are individually constructed.

What are Kiwi Sleep mattresses made from?

Kiwi Sleep uses foam and cushion pocket springs to construct their smartly-designed mattresses. Each mattress is comprised of hundreds of smaller individual squares referred to as mini mattresses. The twin-sized mattress holds 420 tiny mattresses, while the California king model is comprised of 896 tiny mattresses. The queen is one of their more popular sizes, and it contains 690 tiny mattresses.

Since Kiwi Sleep stands behind their mattresses, they offer a decent sleep trial time and a long warranty.

Does the Kiwi Sleep mattresses come in a box?

Kiwi Sleep's mattress will arrive at your doorstep, compressed and packaged in a box. You'll be able to easily carry it to your bedroom, open the packaging, and set it up quickly.

Does Kiwi Sleep need a special foundation?

A great mattress generally needs a good base to ensure that it's fully supported so you can get the full benefits from it. The proper base will also help your mattress last as long as possible. Unlike some companies, Kiwi Sleep doesn't offer mattress foundations for sale. They do say, however, that the mattress will hold up the best if you use a solid bed frame. That can come in the form of a solid platform, a board on a box spring, or even an adjustable bed frame.

Whichever foundation you decide to use, it should be in good shape, so it can offer a stable and supportive surface for your new mattress. The 10-year limited warranty does take into consideration whether your mattress has been properly supported. If you don't use a bed base or have used one that is not able to fully support the weight of the mattress, your warranty may no longer be in effect since it can mean the problem wasn't with the craftsmanship or design of the mattress.

If you have any questions about whether a particular foundation will be good enough to use with your Kiwi Sleep mattress, you can reach out to the company and ask them for guidance.

Caring for your Kiwi Sleep mattress

You shouldn't flip over a Kiwi Sleep mattress as you might with some other brands. If you like to have a fresher feel after you've used your mattress for several months, you can rotate it by 180 degrees.

For any spills or stains that happen in your bed, you can dab a damp sponge with a little soap on the spot that's been affected. Let it air dry before you zip your cover back on, so it doesn't form any mildew or mold.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Kiwi Sleep Delivery

Kiwi Sleep mattresses are designed to be easy to set up and navigate from room to room in your house. You won't need several people on hand to help you lug your mattress into your bedroom. It will arrive compressed in a box at your door. All you need to do is move it to your bedroom, open the packaging, and allow it a little time to fully expand.

In under an hour, it should have expanded enough that it can be used. Some people, however, prefer to wait 24 hours before using their Kiwi Sleep mattress after unpacking it.

Kiwi Sleep Return Policy

It's always a gamble to buy an online mattress that you've never tried. You can have confidence, however, that your Kiwi Sleep mattress will be well worth the risk, based on the outstanding customer reviews and the chiropractor endorsement. If you're been struggling with pain or the idea of trying a mattress that is designed much differently than the other ones on the market appeals to you, the Kiwi Sleep mattress might be a good purchase for you to make, even without trying it first.

To help you have an easier time with your decision, Kiwi Sleep offers you a 100-night sleep trial so you can test out the mattress thoroughly before making a decision about whether you want to keep it or return it. During your sleep trial, you'll be encouraged by Kiwi Sleep to try out your new mattress for a minimum of 30 nights before making a decision to return it. They ask you to do that because it can take several weeks for your body to adjust to the feel of a new mattress. On the first night of using it, it might feel strange or you might have some minor discomfort as you adjust. But by the end of those 30 days, you might love it.

If you choose to return it, Kiwi Sleep will arrange to have the mattress picked up from your home. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, you will be required to pay a $180 fee to have the mattress returned. In the rest of the U.S., there is no fee. In some remote areas, there will be no pick-up service available. If that's the case for your location, you'll have to remove the mattress yourself and provide Kiwi Sleep with proof that it's been removed from your home. For instance, you can donate it to a charity and make sure to get a receipt for it that you can show as proof.

Kiwi Sleep Financing Options

Since replacing your mattress can be expensive, it's good to have a financing option if you need it. Kiwi Sleep offers financing options through Klarna. You can have up to 18 months to pay for your purchase. You can qualify for zero annual percentage rate financing if you pay your mattress off in full within six or 12 months.

Kiwi Sleep Warranties

Kiwi Sleep's limited 10-year warranty can be voided if you don't use a proper foundation, so you should double-check that yours is appropriate so you aren't sorry later. The limited warranty will cover deterioration of the mattress if there is a visible indentation that is more than one inch deep and any physical flaw that occurs if there has been proper handling and usage. The warranty also covers the craftsmanship of the cover, including its zipper and seams.

The warranty won't cover normal wearing, nor any cuts, burns, stains, or tears. If you sell or give your mattress to someone else, the warranty won't transfer to them.
