Keetsa Review

People who have been disappointed by the lack of variety other mattress companies offer should enjoy Keetsa's wide selection of mattresses. They've designed a mattress that will work for every type of sleeper, so all their customers can get a good night's sleep.

TYPES

What bed sizes does Keetsa offer?

Keetsa Keetsa offers mattresses in Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes.

What type of mattresses does Keetsa offer?

Keetsa has made a name for itself by offering several different types of mattresses, so every sleeper can find one that works for them. No matter what your sleep position, body type, or support needs are, one of their six mattresses can keep you resting comfortably. Keetsa's mattresses include:

  • Keetsa Plus: This firm mattress uses iCoils for support and comfort. It works best for back and stomach sleepers.
  • Keetsa Pillow Plus: This one also uses iCoils, but it's topped with a three-inch layer of memory foam, making it slightly softer than the Keetsa Plus. With its medium firm support, it's excellent for all types of sleepers, whether they're back, stomach, or side sleepers.
  • Keetsa Cloud: Fans of memory foam mattresses should like the very firm, coil-free Keetsa Cloud. It works best for back and stomach sleepers. It also excels at keeping motion transfer to a minimum, so you won't be disrupted by your partner's tossing and turning.
  • Tea Leaf Supreme: Soft but supportive, the coil-free Tea Leaf Supreme works well for all types of sleepers -- back, side, and stomach.
  • Tea Leaf Classic: This mattress is firm, but it has a soft feel on the top, thanks to a layer of Comfort Foam. It's excellent for back and stomach sleepers.
  • Tea Leaf Dream: For this one, Keetsa uses iCoils and six inches of memory foam to create a dreamy mattress that works well for back, stomach, and side sleepers.

Which Keetsa mattress type is best?

Keetsa understands that sleep is an individual experience -- and that one person's prized mattress will feel uncomfortable to someone else. To help every customer get a good night's sleep, they offer their six mattresses in a variety of firmness levels. While some companies only specialize in memory foam or hybrid mattresses, Keetsa offers two mattresses with coils, two with only memory foam, and two hybrid models. From a single sleeper to a bigger-sized mattress that can accommodate a couple and a fur baby or toddler, Keetsa gives you plenty of options.

Which sleeping position is best for Keetsa mattresses?

Keetsa is upfront about which sleepers will benefit from each type of mattress they offer -- and which types of sleepers would benefit more from one of their other mattress models. They offer models that will work well for every type of sleeper. Back and stomach sleepers should enjoy any of Keetsa's six mattresses, but side sleepers will be best suited for Keetsa Pillow Plus, Tea Leaf Supreme, and Tea Leaf Dream.

Which body type is best for Keetsa mattresses?

People who fall in the overweight category may find that they sink too far into Keetsa's memory foam mattresses for optimal comfort. They will be better served by one of the hybrid or iCoil models because they will provide additional support. Lightweight sleepers may find the softer mattresses more comfortable, such as Keetsa Pillow Plus, Tea Leaf Supreme, and Tea Leaf Dream.

COMFORT

Is a Keetsa mattress firm or soft?

Keetsa knows that some people love firm mattresses, while they can cause other people hip and back pain. A mattress that's too soft for a person's needs can also lead to pain, so it's important for sleepers to figure out what level of firmness works best for them. A side sleeper, for instance, often doesn't do well when sleeping on a very firm mattress because it can create pain in their hips, back, and shoulders. A stomach sleeper who falls into the overweight category may want to be cautious about choosing a mattress that's overly soft because they may sink too far into the mattress, creating an unnatural and painful angle for their neck.

To help people find the right level of firmness for their individual needs, Keetsa has created mattresses with varying levels of firmness. For each firmness level, there is a recommended sleeper who will benefit the most.

  • Soft: Side sleepers may want to consider softer mattresses like the Tea Leaf Supreme and Tea Leaf Dream. Underweight people may want to choose a soft mattress, so they can sink in a bit for the most comfortable sleeping experience.
  • Medium firm: Medium firm mattresses are often a good fit for all types of sleepers. Keetsa's medium firm option is the Keetsa Pillow Plus. This one offers all the benefits of a firm mattress with some comfortable softness added in. It will work for back, side, and stomach sleepers, and it is also a good choice for people of average body weight.
  • Firm: Firm mattresses are often a good fit for the majority of back sleepers and stomach sleepers, and if you are significantly overweight, firm mattresses are generally your best bet. If you tend to sink too far into a bed, increasing the firmness level of your mattress may help keep you more comfortable. Keetsa's firm mattress choices are the Keetsa Plus, Tea Leaf Classic, and their firmest model, the Keetsa Cloud.

Does Keetsa provide back support?

With all the support layers, iCoils, and comfort layers that Keetsa uses in their different mattress models, customers should be pleased with how finding the right Keetsa mattress for their needs should help keep back pain away. The key to eliminating back pain is to look at what type of sleeper you are, as well as what body type you have, and using that information to select your mattress type wisely.

Does Keetsa relieve pain?

Pain from mattresses can be caused by a variety of reasons, like a mattress that is too firm or one that doesn't provide enough support. Keetsa works to reduce pain from sleeping by offering multiple types of mattresses that get to the root of pain prevention for every type of sleeper. Back, stomach, and side sleepers will all be able to find a Keetsa mattress that lets them get a great night of sleep.

Some of their mattresses use iCoils to give extra support so customers have enough of a substantial base to prevent or improve back pain. In other of their mattresses, they use memory foam to comfortably contour the body, which can be highly beneficial in preventing pressure point pain on the hips, shoulders, neck, and back. The hybrid mattresses give the best of both worlds by using memory foam for soothing comfort and iCoils for responsiveness and support. Some of the mattress models, such as the Tea Leaf Dream, use Pressure Relief foam, which is designed to allow your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress, so you won't have morning and middle-of-the-night pain if you're a side sleeper.

Some pain from mattresses isn't the result of sleeping -- it can be from skin irritation or problems with your lungs being irritated by chemicals or substances in your mattress. Keetsa has taken steps to address these types of issues as well by using safe and well-tested materials. They put a high priority on using high-quality materials in their mattress constructions.

For people who have issues with skin sensitivity, some of Keetsa's models, such as the Tea Leaf Dream, use a linen blend cover. This cover has been certified by Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, so it's safe to place against your skin, and it's smooth and soft so it shouldn't cause skin irritation. If you have lung issues, this certification can also be important because it tests for any known, harmful chemicals that may be in your mattress. The Standard 100 certification gives you peace of mind that your product is safe for you and your family.

By paying attention to each layer in your mattress and what materials are used to construct them, you'll be able to safeguard yourself from skin and lung irritation if those conditions are issues for you. Keetsa is transparent about the materials they use, the benefits they may have, and which certifications they've achieved, so that will help you find a product best suited for you.

Does the Keetsa mattress keep cool at night?

Sleeping when you feel too warm isn't easy. You may find yourself waking up often, sometimes drenched in sweat, and it can be hard to fall asleep again when you're uncomfortably warm. Keetsa takes steps to prevent that overheated feeling, such as using fiber padding that wicks away moisture and improves airflow. Their coil mattresses also help with breathability by allowing some of the heat at the core of the mattress to dissipate.

MATERIALS

Keetsa Construction

Each Keetsa mattress is carefully constructed using a variety of layers and materials, depending upon which model is selected. The mattresses go through extensive testing and certifications to ensure they are constructed well and with careful attention to every detail.

What are Keetsa mattresses made from?

The materials that are in each Keetsa mattress will depend upon which model you've selected. The Tea Leaf Classic, for instance, uses a linen blend cover, a fire barrier, fiber padding, memory foam, Comfort Foam, high density foam, and iCoils. The Keetsa Cloud, on the other hand, will have fewer layers since it is strictly a memory foam bed and it doesn't use iCoils. The Keetsa Cloud is made of a cotton canvas cover, a fire barrier, memory foam, and a core made from a strong foam layer.

Keetsa clearly lists all the layers for each of the mattresses they offer, so customers will know exactly what to expect from their mattress.

Does the Keetsa mattresses come in a box?

Keetsa mattresses will arrive compressed and in a box. The easy transportation method saves money for the customer by allowing Keetsa to ship the mattress for free through FedEx.

Does Keetsa need a special foundation?

If you want the 12-year warranty to be honored if you have any issues with your Keetsa mattress, you will need to use a foundation for your mattress. Keetsa's warranty policy requires each mattress to be placed on a smooth, rigid, or firm surface that will allow for air ventilation. The surface must support the whole mattress, such as a box spring, slatted bed platform, or Keetsa bed frame foundation.

If you don't have a suitable bed frame or you're looking to upgrade your current foundation, Keetsa sells several models, including a gold-brushed steel bed frame, a black-brushed steel bed frame, the Minimo Snow White steel bed frame, the Minimo Industrial Gunmetal steel bed frame, and the Base steel box spring. The bed frames are best described as minimal and modern in style, so if they don't fit into your decor, you can use your own. For your own peace of mind, though, you'll want to ensure that they comply with Keetsa's warranty standards so you don't have any unpleasant surprises if you have an issue with your mattress.

If you hope to keep your mattress on the floor, you'll need to speak with a customer service representative agent for Keetsa to see if any of the models can be used on the floor.

Caring for your Keetsa mattress

Keetsa mattresses must be rotated by moving the mattress head-to-toe every six months. This is a requirement of the warranty, and some people prefer to rotate mattresses anyway so they feel fresher. If you spill something on your mattress, you should spot clean it by using a damp cloth and a mild cleanser. After you clean it, you should allow it to fully dry before putting a sheet on it, so you don't encourage the growth of mildew.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Keetsa Delivery

Your Keetsa mattress will arrive through FedEx, and the company ships free to 48 states. If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, you'll have to pay for shipping. But before ordering, you can call or email a Keetsa customer service agent to see how much the shipping will cost. Or, if you'd prefer, you can add the items to your cart and fill out your shipping information to see how much the shipping fee will be.

Most orders are shipped from Keetsa's California warehouse, and the mattress will generally reach the customer between 5 to 10 business days. You'll be sent a FedEx tracking number after you complete your order, so you'll be able to check when the mattress is expected for delivery. Keetsa doesn't remove old mattresses for customers.

Keetsa Return Policy

Keetsa has a 90-day return policy for their mattresses. They require customers to keep and try out their new mattress for at least 30 days before making the decision to return it since it can take your body that long to adjust to the feel of a new mattress.

Before you return your mattress, Keetsa asks that you call a customer service representative who will talk to you about your decision and give you the options you have if the reason for your return is a comfort issue. If you do return your mattress, you'll be given a purchase price refund, minus a 10 percent processing fee.

Keetsa Financing Options

Keetsa offers financing that can be as low as zero percent APR. The financing is through Affirm, and if you decide you want financing, you can choose that option while you're checking out on the Keetsa website. You can decide between 3-, 6-, and 12-month financing. Keep in mind to check the rate you're being offered since not everyone will qualify for zero percent financing.

Keetsa Warranties

Keetsa stands behind their merchandise, which is why they offer a 12-year warranty on their mattresses. In order for the warranty to be effective, the box the mattress arrives in must have been opened within 90 days of arrival. The warranty will also be voided if there are any water marks or stains on the mattress, even if they didn't cause the problem with the warranty.

You should also be aware that you must rotate the mattress head-to-toe every six months. If you don't, the warranty may be voided. Also, the warranty doesn't cover normal wear-and-tear on the mattress, such as body impressions of 1.5 inches or less.
